Brace/Choir
This band have been quietly/loudly doing their own thing around town for some time now and have gathered a following for themselves by virtue of their impressive live performances.
At once sounding like Neu! and other krautrock favourites, mixed with the kind of dynamism that a band like Do Make Say Think possess, throw in a helping of subtle shoegaze-era Ride, some Spacemen 3 and a splash of Yo La Tengo, some good old fashioned roots rockin’ and you’re somewhere near what Brace/Choir manage to achieve. They mix their influences to such a degree that multiple listens are needed and then some……and then some….and then some….it’s all about the trip with Brace/Choir…..let go and enjoy.
……..and lucky us cos they’ve decided to do another show a few days later at Schokoladen…..mmmm chocolate…….
